So check it out! My Little Pony Friendship is Magic's ending to season 2 was a billion times better than the ending to Mass Effect 3! HOWEVER they are both similar in how the job gets done, but the results... VERY DIFFERENT!!!
PONIES: Shining Armor has a spell that can repel the enemy but is too worn out to use it again after the enemy has penetrated the barrier. His fiance Cadence can use her love spell to fuel his magic and he can create the beam again. IT SUCCEEDS! The energy wave is let out and all the evil changelings are pushed out and defeated. The two eventually get ready to have an official wedding and everypony is happy bringing closure and leaving us wanting more Ponies!
Mass Effect 3: The Citadel (A giant space station that is really like a Death Star or Halo) has the power to destroy the evil sentient starships known as Reapers. The Crucible is a device made by the civilizations of the galaxy that fuels the Citadel's power to unleash energy which destroys/controls/merges with organics, the Reapers. (This is the destroy ending) Reapers are defeated, however, the devices known as Mass Relays are destroyed in the process leaving many across the galaxy stranded on an alien world that has been decimated by the Reapers and unable to support them, on top of that a vast majority of the main characters are suddenly stranded on a remote world for no particular reason leaving plot holes galore!!!
My Little Pony literally did what an otherwise epic series like Mass Effect failed to do! GIVE A GOOD ENDING!!! Now granted Ponies is on only its second season, still, the writers aren't going to go and create a confusing ending when the show eventually does end (Which I hope never happens)
Bioware and EA... You just lost to a show that was intended for little girls... How does that feel!?

The Problem is that after Dragon Age Origins, things went to crap because the teams that where part of DA
where let go, and they where the same teams that also worked on ME 1 and 2. So you see where I'm going with this I hope.
